Krapina is a town in northwestern Croatia. The capital of the Krapina-Zagorje County. The name of the city is closely associated with the name of the river that once abounded in freshwater fish carp. “Kajkavski carp” fish called the carp.
From Krapinske medieval fortress – a city on a hill above Krapina, preserved only one building that in 1919 its owner Francis Baron Ottenfels the ruins of a castle donated Krapina municipality. Old Town is a peculiar place of tranquility and peace.
